Who we are
This site is operated by Dawnplex Pest Solutions Sdn Bhd (registration 202501032478 (1645893-K)), a pest control firm based at Lot 42 Jalan Industri Putra Permai 4, Bandar Putra Permai, 43300 Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia. The data controller for the personal information described here is Dawnplex.
What we collect
From this website we collect only what you choose to give us through the survey-request form: your name, email, mobile (optional), suburb (optional), the pest issue you’ve selected, and the free-text description of what you’ve seen. We also store a single anonymous session cookie to protect the form against bots — see our cookie policy for the details.
If you call our hotline or message our WhatsApp number we log the call/message in a private CRM together with the address you give us so the named technician can find you. We do not record phone calls.
Why we collect it
Three reasons, in this order:
- To answer your enquiry. Without your contact details we can’t come back to you about a survey.
- To schedule the work. We use the address and pest description to dispatch the right technician with the right equipment.
- To honour the warranty. Termite, mosquito and rodent warranties depend on us keeping a record of which property was treated, when, and with what chemicals.
Who sees it
Only Dawnplex staff. The coordinator who triages your enquiry, the technician assigned to your job, and (where applicable) our accounts team if you become a paying client. We never sell or rent your contact details to third parties.
If you book a paid service, our accounts team will share invoicing details with our bookkeeping firm — but they see only the invoice line items, not the pest survey notes.
How long we keep it
- Survey enquiries that never become bookings: deleted after 12 months.
- Bookings: kept for the duration of the warranty plus 24 months (e.g. 10 years for an 8-year termite barrier).
- Invoicing records: kept for 7 years to satisfy Malaysian tax law.
Your rights under the PDPA
You can ask us at any time to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong.
- Stop using the information for marketing (we don’t do mass marketing — but you can still opt out).
- Delete it, subject to the warranty/tax retention above.
Email [email protected] with “PDPA request” in the subject — we reply within 14 working days.
How we protect it
The website runs on an encrypted HTTPS connection. Our internal CRM sits behind two-factor authentication and is only accessible from inside the Dawnplex network. Physical paperwork (signed treatment certificates, warranty documents) is stored in locked cabinets at the Seri Kembangan office.
Children
This website is not intended for children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Updates
We update this policy when the law changes, or when our practices change. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
